India, June 29 -- Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. (SWREL), in a 50:50 joint venture with Hassan Allam Construction, has secured an order worth approximately USD 560 million for the West Minya Solar Power Project in Egypt.
The project involves the development of a 1,000 MW solar power plant integrated with a 600 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), making it one of Egypt's largest utility-scale renewable energy projects upon completion.
The project is located in Minya Governorate and further strengthens SWREL's presence in the global renewable energy market.
