India, May 27 -- Silver futures witnessed a sharp decline on Wednesday amid weak global cues and escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia, which boosted the US dollar and bond yields.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery dropped by Rs 3,876, or 1.43 per cent, to Rs 2,66,752 per kilogram with a turnover of 9,740 lots.
In the previous trading session, silver prices had settled lower by Rs 6,088 at Rs 2,70,628 per kilogram.
