India, July 27 -- Silver futures advanced 0.95% to Rs 2,24,255 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, supported by a firm global trend and fresh buying by market participants.

The September delivery contract gained Rs 2,117 to Rs 2,24,255 per kg, with a business turnover of 890 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices to fresh position-building by traders amid positive global cues.
