India, Aug. 4 -- Silver futures rallied on Tuesday, tracking strong global cues amid optimism over industrial demand and ahead of key US economic data that could provide insights into the US Federal Reserve's interest rate trajectory.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September silver contracts rose Rs 2,670, or 1.23%, to Rs 2,19,416 per kg, compared with the previous close of Rs 2,16,746 per kg.

Analysts said silver prices gained as investors assessed developments surrounding potential US-Iran talks while awaiting a series of US labour market reports that could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve's next policy decision.
