India, July 17 -- Silver futures declined by Rs. 1,258 to Rs. 2,14,755 per kg on Friday as traders pared their positions, leading to a fall in prices.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September silver contracts traded 0.58% lower at Rs. 2,14,755 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,563 lots.

According to market analysts, profit booking and reduced trading positions by participants were the key factors weighing on silver prices.
