India, May 26 -- Silver prices on Tuesday declined by Rs 4,947 to Rs 2,71,769 per kilogram in futures trade as traders reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, silver contracts for July delivery fell by Rs 4,947, or 1.79%, to Rs 2,71,769 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,121 lots.

Analysts said selling pressure from market participants mainly weighed on silver prices.
