India, June 16 -- Silver prices declined in futures trade on Tuesday as market participants reduced their positions amid profit-booking activity.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery fell Rs 4,058, or 1.61%, to Rs 2,47,400 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,790 lots.

According to analysts, the decline was primarily driven by a sell-off and position trimming by traders, which put pressure on silver futures prices.
