India, May 20 -- Silver futures traded slightly higher on Wednesday amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery rose by Rs 80, or 0.03 percent, to Rs 2,70,199 per kg in a turnover of 2,076 lots.

Market analysts said fresh buying interest and new positions created by traders supported the rise in silver futures prices.
