India, July 23 -- Silver futures fell by Rs. 1,236 to Rs. 2,25,762 per kg in Thursday's trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as traders reduced their positions.

The September delivery contract declined 0.54%, with a business turnover of 427 lots.

According to analysts, the decline in silver prices was mainly driven by profit booking and reduced participation by market traders.
