India, July 7 -- Silver futures prices fell Rs 3,648, or 1.55%, to Rs 2,32,451 per kg in Tuesday's trade as traders reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for September delivery traded lower with a business turnover of 1,587 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline in silver prices to profit booking and reduced participation by traders.
