India, Aug. 7 -- Silver futures surged 2.43 per cent to Rs 2,31,332 per kg on Friday, supported by firm global cues and fresh buying by traders.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September delivery contracts gained Rs 5,496 to Rs 2,31,332 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,943 lots. Market analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions built by participants amid a positive global trend.
