India, July 27 -- Sigma Advanced Systems Ltd has secured an export order worth $104.9 million (around Rs 1,013 crore) from a North American customer for the manufacture and supply of 147,000 next-generation 155mm base bleed artillery shell bodies.
The order is scheduled to be executed over the next 6 to 12 months and marks a significant step in the company's expansion into advanced artillery ammunition. The shells are designed to reduce aerodynamic drag, enabling extended firing range while remaining compatible with existing 155mm artillery platforms.
