India, June 30 -- Shilpa Medicare's wholly owned subsidiary, Shilpa Biologicals, has entered into a co-development and supply agreement with Orion Corporation to develop and commercialise an intravenous nivolumab biosimilar for the European market.
Under the agreement, Orion will hold exclusive rights to register, market and distribute the biosimilar across Europe, while Shilpa Biologicals will lead product development and serve as the exclusive long-term manufacturer and supplier from its biologics facility in Dharwad, India. Shilpa will also receive development, regulatory milestone payments and long-term supply revenues under the partnership.
