India, Aug. 5 -- Serentica Renewables has commissioned Phase 1 of its 1 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, marking its entry into the utility-scale energy storage segment for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector.
The first phase comprises a 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System, which is expected to enhance renewable energy integration, improve grid reliability, and provide flexible power solutions for industrial consumers.
The commissioning represents a key milestone in Serentica Renewables' strategy to expand its clean energy portfolio and strengthen energy storage capabilities in India's growing renewable energy ecosystem.
