India, Aug. 13 -- In another step towards fulfilling the goal of 'Housing for All', the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India has approved additional 1.47 lakh pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0) in 14 States/UTs. With this latest approval, the total number of houses sanctioned under PMAY-U 2.0 is now 8.56 lakh. The decision was taken during the fourth meeting of Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) held on 12th August 2025 at GPOA2, Kasturba Gandhi Marg in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Shri Srinivas Katikithala, Secretary, MoHUA. This was the first meeting of the Housing for All (HFA) Division organised at the Kasturba Gandhi Marg office.
