India, Sept. 23 -- S&P Global Ratings has upgraded its FY27 growth outlook for India to 7%, pointing to continued strength in economic activity. The agency also expects the RBI to increase its policy rate by 25 basis points during FY27.
According to S&P's Economic Activity for Asia Pacific report, consumer inflation is expected to average 5.1% in FY27.
The Indian economy recorded 7.8% growth in the June quarter, beating expectations. S&P attributed the strong performance to a combination of firm industrial output, resilient consumer spending, higher goods exports and faster government investment.
