India, Aug. 18 -- The Indian rupee came under pressure in Tuesday's early trading session, slipping 7 paise to 95.68 against the US dollar, as elevated crude oil prices and continued demand for the greenback weighed on the domestic currency.

According to forex traders, Brent crude hovering near USD 91 per barrel has strengthened oil-related demand for dollars. Market sentiment was also impacted by the Reserve Bank's earlier-than-expected closure of the concessional FCN (B) forex-swap facility, which sparked concerns about the outlook for future dollar inflows.

In the previous session on Monday, the rupee had ended 19 paise lower at 95.61 against the US dollar.
