India, Aug. 20 -- The rupee edged lower by 3 paise to 87.16 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday, pressured by weak Asian currencies and a negative trend in domestic equities.
Traders said market sentiment remains cautious ahead of potential Russia-Ukraine talks and cues from US Fed Chair Jerome Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole Symposium later this week.
