India, July 16 -- The Indian rupee depreciated 8 paise to settle at 96.33 against the US dollar on Thursday, marking its fourth consecutive session of decline.
The domestic currency came under pressure due to volatile crude oil prices, a stronger US dollar, escalating West Asia tensions, and continued foreign institutional investor (FII) outflows. During the session, the rupee traded in the 96.22–96.37 range after opening at 96.28.
