India, Nov. 5 -- The Indian rupee closed flat at 94.46 (provisional) against the US dollar on Thursday, as gains from lower crude oil prices were offset by a stronger US dollar in overseas markets.

Forex market participants said the domestic currency showed signs of stabilisation following its recent recovery. Support from positive domestic equity markets and easing crude oil prices helped limit losses.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 94.36 and weakened to an intraday low of 94.57 before recovering some ground to settle at 94.46, unchanged from the previous close.
