India, Aug. 14 -- The rupee gained 2 paise to trade at 95.43 against the US dollar in early deals on Friday, supported by weakness in the greenback in overseas markets.
However, the domestic currency remained under pressure amid continued foreign fund outflows from Indian equities and elevated crude oil prices, coupled with ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 95.39 against the US dollar before easing to 95.43 in early trade, marking a marginal 2-paise gain over its previous close.
