India, Sept. 18 -- The rupee pared its early gains to close unchanged at 95.89 (provisional) against the US dollar on Friday, weighed by strength in the American currency.
Positive momentum in domestic equity markets provided support to the Indian currency, forex traders said.
The rupee also found some relief from crude oil prices falling below $104 a barrel and easing US bond yields following the US Federal Reserve's 25-basis-point interest rate hike.
