India, July 27 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the directions imposed on The Irinjalakuda Town Co-operative Bank Ltd., Kerala, for a further three months, from July 30, 2026, to October 30, 2026, subject to review.

The restrictions, issued under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, were originally imposed in July 2025 and had previously been extended until July 30, 2026. RBI said the extension has been made in the public interest.

The central bank clarified that the extension or modification of the directions should not be construed as an indication that it is satisfied with the financial position of the bank. All other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged.
