India, Dec. 12 -- The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday revoked the certificates of registration of four non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) based in West Bengal and Chandigarh. The entities include Gem Investments & Trading Co Pvt Ltd, Vistar Financiers, Ambica Barter Pvt Ltd (all from West Bengal), and Shri Lakhavi Financial Services Limited from Chandigarh.
According to the RBI, the cancellations were carried out under the powers granted by Section 45-IA(6) of the RBI Act, 1934. The central bank also noted that four additional NBFCs have voluntarily surrendered their certificates of registration.
