India, Sept. 10 -- Ramco Cements' ecological restoration project at its limestone mine in Pandalgudi, Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, has received Advanced Certification from The Global Biodiversity Standard (TGBS), making it the first site in Peninsular India to receive the recognition.
The certification places the project among internationally recognised biodiversity restoration initiatives, including projects by the Jane Goodall Institute and Ecosia in Uganda and Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden in Hong Kong.
