India, May 21 -- Indian Railways has urged passengers to remain alert and report any suspicious activity during train journeys or at railway stations as part of efforts to strengthen security across the rail network.

The appeal came after a high-level security review meeting chaired by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi. Ministers of State for Railways V. Somanna and Ravneet Singh Bittu, along with senior Railway Board officials, also attended the meeting.
