India, Dec. 8 -- Orient Green Power Company Limited (OGPCL) has commissioned its first solar power project through its subsidiary, Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited (DELTA), marking a strategic expansion beyond its core wind energy business.
As part of its diversification strategy, OGPCL had raised funds via a rights issue to develop a 25 MW AC solar power project under DELTA. The first phase— a 7 MW AC solar facility located at Krishnasamudhram Village in Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu—has now been successfully commissioned.
