India, Sept. 1 -- Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has been fined by both NSE and BSE for non-compliance with SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, the state-run telecom company said in a regulatory filing.

The exchanges imposed a penalty of Rs 6.73 lakh each on MTNL for lapses related to board composition, including the absence of a woman director and non-compliance in the constitution of the audit committee.
