India, Sept. 23 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNNL) have signed an MoU to introduce a simplified and time-bound approval process for National Highway, canal and pipeline crossings across Gujarat.

The agreement is aimed at improving coordination between the two agencies, enabling faster clearances and smoother execution of highway and irrigation infrastructure projects.

Under the arrangement, NHAI and SSNNL will mutually waive various fees, charges and levies applicable to the crossings covered by the MoU. This is expected to lower project costs, remove procedural delays and improve the use of public funds.
