India, Oct. 13 -- India's net direct tax revenue surged 6.33% year-on-year to ?11.89 lakh crore in the current fiscal, driven by stronger corporate tax collections and a decline in refund issuances, according to official data.

Refunds fell 16% to Rs 2.03 lakh crore between April 1 and October 12, 2025, while net corporate tax collections rose to Rs 5.02 lakh crore, compared to Rs 4.92 lakh crore in the same period last year.
