India, Oct. 27 -- Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured major Design and Build orders for two key systems packages under the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line 1), also known as Dhaka Metro, in Bangladesh. The orders have been awarded to the company's Transportation Infrastructure business vertical and relate to the country's first underground metro project.
The contracts comprise Package CP09, covering track works and electrical systems, and Package CP10, covering signalling, telecommunications and platform screen doors (PSD).
