India, Sept. 17 -- Kings Infra Ventures Ltd has welcomed the support measures proposed by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to aid the state's aquaculture sector amid challenges from US tariffs on shrimp imports.
The proposals include a 240-day moratorium on loan repayments, interest subsidies, a GST waiver on frozen shrimp, cuts in shrimp feed costs and electricity charges, creation of a Rs 100-crore corpus fund, and the development of cold storage and logistics infrastructure. These steps are expected to provide much-needed relief to aquafarmers and exporters.
