India, July 22 -- Students trained under India's National Olympiad Programme, supported by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), delivered one of the country's best-ever performances at the International Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Olympiads 2026, securing a total of 12 gold and 7 silver medals.
India achieved a historic clean sweep by winning all five gold medals at the International Physics Olympiad and all four gold medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad, finishing joint World No. 1 in both competitions. The country also secured one gold and three silver medals at the International Biology Olympiad, and two gold and four silver medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
