India, Aug. 31 -- India's economy grew 7.8% in the April-June quarter of FY27, accelerating from 6.9% growth recorded in the same period a year earlier, according to government data released on Monday.

Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices stood at an estimated Rs 81.36 lakh crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 75.46 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) said the latest data reflects the economy's continued growth momentum despite prevailing global headwinds.
