India, Sept. 18 -- India and Nepal reviewed a range of trade, transit and connectivity issues during the Inter-Governmental Sub-Committee (IGSC) meeting held in New Delhi on September 16–17, 2026.

Discussions covered market access, Customs and trade facilitation, standards, food safety, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, AYUSH products, phytosanitary measures, border infrastructure and rail and road connectivity.

Both sides also discussed measures to strengthen Customs cooperation, including pre-arrival information exchange, electronic verification of Certificates of Origin, and greater automation and digitalisation, while addressing unauthorised trade and misuse of preferential trade arrangements.
