India, June 3 -- Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd (HOCL) has announced a temporary shutdown of its Hydrogen Peroxide manufacturing plant located in Kochi, Kerala, effective June 3, 2026.
The company stated that the decision was taken due to a significant increase in raw material costs coupled with weak market demand, which has adversely impacted the plant's operational viability.
HOCL will continue to closely monitor market conditions and evaluate the economic environment before deciding on the resumption of operations. The company has indicated that the reopening date of the facility will be communicated separately once market conditions improve.
