India, March 6 -- Guar seed prices declined by Rs 16 to Rs 5,356 per quintal in futures trade on Friday due to ample market supplies.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for April delivery fell by Rs 16, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 5,356 per quintal, with an open interest of 34,160 lots.

Traders attributed the weakness in guar seed prices to rising arrivals and abundant supplies from key producing regions.
