India, Feb. 4 -- Guar seed prices declined in futures trade on Wednesday, weighed down by ample arrivals and rising supplies from key producing regions.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd, guar seed contracts for March delivery dropped Rs 16, or 0.29 percent, to Rs 5,591 per quintal, with an open interest of 37,150 lots.

Traders said the downward pressure on prices was largely driven by increased availability in the market, which dampened buying interest.
