India, March 11 -- Guar seed prices edged lower in futures trade on Wednesday amid adequate supplies from producing regions.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for April delivery declined by Rs 2, or 0.04%, to Rs 5,515 per quintal, with an open interest of 45,195 lots.

Market participants said the fall in prices was largely attributed to increased arrivals and comfortable supply levels in key growing regions.
