India, June 16 -- Guar seed prices edged higher in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by fresh positions taken by investors.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for July delivery gained Rs 15, or 0.25%, to Rs 6,005 per quintal, with an open interest of 64,810 lots.

Market participants said increased buying interest and fresh bets by traders supported guar seed futures, despite a decline in spot market prices.
