India, July 6 -- Guar seed futures gained on Monday, with the July contract rising Rs 15, or 0.25%, to Rs 5,915 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX).

The contract recorded an open interest of 32,855 lots, as investors increased their positions in the futures market. Market participants said fresh buying interest supported guar seed prices despite a decline in spot market prices.
