India, Jan. 8 -- Guar seed prices edged lower in futures trade on Thursday, weighed down by ample supplies from producing regions. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 100, or 1.73%, to Rs 5,590 per quintal, with an open interest of 64,080 lots.

Market participants said the increase in arrivals from key growing areas led to selling pressure, dragging guar seed prices lower.
