India, April 10 -- Guar seed prices declined by Rs 47 to Rs 5,724 per quintal in futures trade on Friday, weighed down by ample supplies in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for April delivery fell Rs 47, or 0.82%, to Rs 5,724 per quintal, with an open interest of 56,645 lots.

Market participants attributed the weakness in prices to increased arrivals from key producing regions, which exerted pressure on the commodity.
