India, June 12 -- Guar seed prices edged higher in futures trade on Friday as investors increased their positions, reflecting improved market sentiment.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for June delivery gained Rs 43, or nearly 1%, to Rs 5,939 per quintal, with an open interest of 15,285 lots.
The contract had settled at Rs 5,896 per quintal in the previous session. The rise in prices was primarily driven by fresh buying activity and higher participation from market participants in the futures segment.
