India, Nov. 3 -- Guar gum futures declined on Monday, dropping Rs 21 to Rs 8,733 per quintal as traders reduced their holdings amid a sluggish trend in the spot market. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the December contract fell 0.24 per cent to Rs 8,733 per quintal, with a turnover of 27,500 lots.
According to market participants, subdued demand and sufficient supply from key producing regions weighed on prices.
