India, Nov. 2 -- Guar gum prices increased Rs. 168, or 1.08%, to Rs. 15,720 per quintal in futures trade on Monday, supported by fresh buying from speculators amid firm spot market demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for December delivery traded higher at Rs. 15,720 per quintal, with an open interest of 46,145 lots.

Analysts said a firm trend in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their positions, supporting guar gum futures prices.
