India, July 13 -- Guar gum futures traded higher on Monday, with the August contract on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) rising Rs 82, or 0.66 percent, to Rs 12,350 per quintal.

The gains were supported by firm demand in the physical market, prompting traders to increase their positions. Analysts said positive spot market sentiment and fresh buying interest by market participants lifted guar gum prices in futures trade.
