India, Oct. 5 -- Guar gum futures advanced on Monday, supported by firm demand in the physical market and increased buying interest from speculators.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for November delivery rose Rs 151, or 1.13%, to Rs 13,518 per quintal. Open interest in the contract stood at 47,435 lots.
Market analysts said a stronger trend in the spot market encouraged traders to increase their positions, supporting guar gum futures prices during the session.
