India, Aug. 21 -- Guar gum futures advanced Rs 54 to Rs 12,150 per quintal on Friday, supported by fresh buying from speculators amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, September-delivery guar gum contracts gained Rs 54, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 12,150 per quintal, while open interest stood at 63,395 lots.
Traders increased their positions following a positive trend in the physical market, helping lift guar gum futures prices.
