India, March 13 -- Guar gum prices increased Rs 24 to Rs 10,136 per quintal in futures trade on Friday as speculators expanded their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for April delivery rose Rs 24, or 0.24%, to Rs 10,136 per quintal, with an open interest of 55,970 lots.
Market analysts said the strength in the physical market encouraged traders to build fresh positions, leading to the uptick in guar gum futures prices.
